..... Though I wont be eating a hotdog in a while (anyone who has tried sausages or meat spread while over there will understand

Just got back on Sunday from an Exploration into Germany (and a little bit of Belgium on the way back too) I saw a lot of abandonments but also took a day to see the touristy stuff too, which I am glad I saw as it seemed to add to the whole experience.

One night we stayed right by the remaining 1.3km part of the wall almost in what would have been no man's land! I even managed to get a tiny part of the wall from the wall, which pleased me a lot and got my passport stamped at Checkpoint Charlie!!

I will try to remember the places I went to:

* Kent School - supposedly one of the first places to 'trial' nerve gas in WWII
* 1936 Olympic Village
* Abandoned Train yard near the Olympic village - complete with train turntable!
* Chemical Weapons factory - we thought it was a lot of garages untill someone read the warning sign out for us later on!
* Soviet Military Hospital - So big it took a day and a half to get round
* A very cool out of town bar where me and Phil got very drunk!!
* Soviet Military Headquarters
* The Wall (well you have to really don't you)
* Nuclear Bunker
* Random huge abandoned Cold Store
* NSA Listening station built on the ruins of bombed buildings from WWII
* Checkpoint Alpha
* Holiday village for Railway worker's in Belgium

Only sorted through a few pictures from Beelitz so far but I am sure to get over exited and post far too many up! :
